The Mendoza General Hospital was designed by Arturo and Manuel Civit in 1945 on a 3.6-hectare site. The original building follows rationalist patterns and monumental scale, covering 30,140 sq. ft. (28,000 sq. mt.). The addition incorporates 71,040 sq. ft. (6,600 sq. mt.) to the existing facility, and includes parking garage, main laundry areas, day-care center, beside of the outdoor landscape designed areas. The Mendoza General Hospital serves the entire Greater Mendoza (pop. 1.1 M) community.
